Robert Schaff

Robert Schaff is Partner at Steinbeis M&A Partners GmbH based in Berlin.

Previous work experience:

• Senior Vice President at Saxenhammer (Zumera), an M&A advisory firm focused on small & medium-sized companies. Mr. Schaff was responsible for the project execution and supported clients from the industrials, business services, healthcare and ICT sectors with regards to succession planning, M&A projects and indicative company valuations.
• Within the Volkswagen Group China, he held a management position in charge of the Beijing-based group's Asian investment activities, focusing on investments in autonomous driving technology, raw materials and venture capital.
• Mr. Schaff’s investment banking/M&A experience has been gained while working at the German private bank Bankhaus Lampe (focusing on family-run medium-sized companies), investment bank Nomura (focusing on financial investors and industrial multinationals) and the Big 4 firm Ernst & Young (focusing on the German SME market).

As an expert in M&A, corporate succession planning and financing in the DACH region as well as on a global scale, Robert Schaff has advised and successfully completed numerous transactions. He has in-depth experience with financial investors, family offices and industrial companies. Derived from his extensive experience abroad, Robert Schaff has a very strong sense of cultural awareness.

He holds a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in International Business from Maastricht University (Netherlands).
