Steinbeis M&A, lead-managed by Christian von Staudt (Partner), provided comprehensive advice to the seller of R&S Energy GmbH, based in Horn-Bad Meinberg.
The Horn-Bad Meinberg biomethane plant is one of the largest in Europe. The Horn-Bad Meinberg site was built in 2007 and has since been expanded into an industrial plant geared towards long-term operation. In addition to being fed into the public gas grid, the biogas produced is fed into two regional CHP units, whose electricity is fed into the public grid and the heat extracted supplies a clinic, a senior citizens’ residence and a thermal spa, among others.
