Sale of Lütze Consulting & Services GmbH & Co. KG
Corporate succession successful: Steinbeis M&A supports the sale of the Lütze Group to US-based Amphenol Corporation (NYSE:APH) as part of a structured succession process. After the sale of the American Lutze Inc. was already successfully completed on May 1, 2024, the transfer of the shares in Lütze Consulting GmbH & Co. KG has now also been finalized after all legal approvals were obtained.
The successful closing marks a further milestone in securing Lütze’s corporate success and creates new growth opportunities in international markets and target industries. In conjunction with operational opportunities, it also creates further development opportunities for employees and the entire management team.
“Steinbeis M&A has exceeded my high expectations. I am extremely satisfied with the holistic and professional process management and the result achieved. The in-deep industry expertise enabled the development of a convincing value creation strategy and the targeted approach to the most suitable potential buyers. In addition, the cooperation with my management team and myself was efficient, very trusting and pleasant throughout the entire process. I can recommend Steinbeis M&A without reservation.“
Udo Lütze (former owner Lütze Group)
Thanks to several years of support for the company and its owners as well as extensive industry expertise, Steinbeis M&A was able to develop a value enhancement strategy in advance and identify growth potential with the client (Fit4Transaction). In addition to a comprehensive company valuation, the Lütze Group’s willingness to sell was also challenged in this context. Together with the management team and external consultants, a complete vendor due diligence was carried out and an optimal buyer universe identified.
The efficient process management and the selective choice of the buyer universe in combination with a strong and consistent competitive position among the bidders were particularly relevant for the successful conclusion. This part of the Steinbeis approach enables Steinbeis M&A to build a bridge between mid-market and global investors. “This transaction is an outstanding example of our ability to efficiently structure complex deals and successfully close them with the best outcome for the client,” says Oliver Gaess, who led the process for Steinbeis M&A.
The transaction was managed by Oliver Gaess (Lead Partner) and Georg Steimel (Partner) and Jonas Tönnies (Associate) from Steinbeis M&A. The team was supported by WP/StB Tobias Geiler, WP/StB Eike Neumann and RA/StB Dr Sebastian Heß (BANSBACH, auditing and tax) and by Dr Rainer Herschlein and Dr Emanuel Teichmann (HEUKING, legal).
