AIRTECH TGA GmbH & Co. KG is acquired by the air-conditioning technology specialist Zimmer & Hälbig GmbH. VR Equitypartner (VREP) is supporting the growth of its portfolio company with this transaction.
Steinbeis M&A, led by Ulrich Praßler, prepared the process on behalf of the seller and accompanied it to the end.
About AIRTECH TGA GmbH & Co. KG
Airtech is an experienced service specialist in the field of reliable maintenance and servicing of modern ventilation systems.
Airtech’s specialists serve customers from the public sector, medical technology, healthcare, industry, and food technology. The high level of expertise in the cleaning of particularly polluted ventilation systems such as systems in commercial kitchens with grease residues or police firing ranges with high levels of propellant powder.
Airtech was founded in Neuhausen ob Eck in 1993 and expanded and modernised at its new site in Tuttlingen in 2018.

Founded in Bielefeld in 1974, the company employs around 280 people at its sites in Bielefeld, Leipzig, Cologne and Osnabrück. In October 2022, VREP acquired a significant minority stake in Zimmer & Hälbig as part of a company succession solution. At that time, both companies had already announced a stronger expansion course – also through inorganic growth and the consistent implementation of a platform strategy.
